This is the town hall building and was designed by world famous architect Alvar Aalto. This square is one of my favourite spots in Rovaniemi. The square is surrounded by the town hall, public library and theater house that are all Aalto's work of art.

It certainly is different looking and not something we would see here where I live. I like modern architecture especially that done in the Netherlands.
